Miley Cyrus dies (on TV)

Miley Cyrus just can't escape those nagging death rumours. First there was the RIP Miley youtube video, and now the teen star has been brutally killed off in the animated series Robot Chicken.

In the latest episode, a plasticine Miley is shot dead by a crazed fan. After Billy Ray sobs over her coffin for a while, Miley's friends swipe her body for a Weekend at Bernie's style adventure, determined to "protect her secret" from the media.

It's pretty sick stuff, but if you're not a big fan of Miley's you might get a kick out of it.

Selena Gomez isn't a Belieber

Teen star Selena Gomez, who has previously dated Nick Jonas and Taylor Lautner, says she would never be interested in 17-year-old Justin Bieber.

Appearing on Ellen DeGeneres' talk show, when asked if she was involved with the teen heartthrob, Selena screwed up her face and replied: "Oh brother! He's little. No, he's like my little brother. It's weird to me."

The 19-year-old star also revealed that she hasn't been on a date this year, not that she's too worried.

"Unfortunately, I haven't been on a date in over six months. In hindsight, it doesn't really seem that long between dates. The truth is I haven't met anyone, but I’m young. I don't need a boyfriend right now," she added. "Any crush or relationship is always a big ordeal. To get that one boy to like you and then if he doesn't it feels like the end of the world. I figure that you will have about 1,000 dates until you get to your perfect guy."

Taylor Lautner was bullied in high school

You'd think Taylor Lautner's almighty abs could have kept bullies at bay! But no - seems the New Moon guy wasn't always a hit with teens.

“I was never extremely confident," he told Rolling Stone."Because I was an actor, when I was in school there was a little bullying going on. Not physical bullying but people making fun of what I do ... I just had to tell myself I can’t let this get to me. This is what I love to do. And I’m going to continue to do it.”

Looks like he showed 'em after all, eh?

Taylor Swift's double party

Taylor Swift, who turned 21 last festive season, has decided to combine Christmas and her birthday because she hates opening gifts in front of other people.


"I love having a Christmas themed birthday party so people can give each other presents at my birthday party, so it's not so much a spotlight birthday [thing] – especially with a 21st birthday where people are like, 'Huh? Huh? What's she gonna do?'," she explained. "I didn't want it to be a crazy club thing, I just want it to be very me and the me thing to do would be to have a Christmas birthday party."

What's so great about Justin Bieber?

The first time I saw the music video where he throws a party at Usher's house I thought to myself "Who on earth is this kid with a bad haircut?" I was actually pretty shocked to learn the high-pitched voice kid is actually 16 but he must have one great moisturiser 'cos if he looks a day over 12, then I'm crazy.Now JB has hit the land Down Under and Justin Bieber fever is taking over. 

Bieber's Oz appearance was cancelled for "safety reasons" when thousands of swooning teens (otherwise known as Beliebers, don't get me started) stormed through safety barricades at 3am in Australia. Which poses the question: What kind of crazy parents let their teens stand in line at 3am on a Tuesday?

Obviously the whole "screaming fans" phenomenon isn't new. People went nuts over the Beatles too. But the Beatles, I understand. Michael Jackson, I understand. But what is it about JB?

Is it because he's supported by Usher, Ludacris, Justin Timberlake and other big names in music? Is it because his songs are all about love (the puppy kind)? Is it because he acts that little bit too cool for school? Or is it just because there's just no-one else to go nuts over at the moment?
